My take on the story of mullets and VCR's is that its an interesting concept. the truth is, im not entirely sure that in my life/generation anyone could truly go back to that time. For example look at this class, look at what I'm doing currently. I'm conveying my thoughts and ideas, not face to face, or infront of the whole class, but on an internet blog. the truth is, the technological age has brought us safety from the fear of having a stupid idea. I think this is a great idea. don't get me wrong but i think it would be very difficult for others to follow suit, when you consider the nature of many jobs in today's world.

I dont think anything should be censored. in most cases the things people choose to censor aren't that bad. the things that can be found on tv and in movies arent that bad. i know it sound irresponsible of me to say its not an issue, but it shouldn't be. back in the days of young frankenstein, and blazzing saddles, nothing was censored. Mel Brookes made films that were legitimately funny and offensive. its all about making media thats offensive for a purpose. but instead people are easily offended, or people choose to be offensive for no reason.

I personally don't think bad behavior comes from anywhere. I believe that people are born bad, and that the lessons you are taught as a child in your early development will determine the type o fperson you are. if you are taught the basic lesson of right and wrong, the good thing to do, then  that is how you will live life, but kif you arent taught that you will go back to your human nature. To me, people are inherently bad. it is up to the world to teach them how to be a co passionate and empathetic person.

The issue of sexting is not uncommon in today's world. its happened, and still happens at our school. many of us know about it, have heard of it, or have taken part in it. with technology playing a larger role in our lives it is easy for many teens to think of their electronics as an extension of themselves, and therefore be more trusting and less cautious when talking to someone in a suggestive matter. the issue of sexting cant really be helped because it will evolve and kids will find different ways to do it. on the plus side, it may decrease the rate of teen pregnancies. so....upside?

i believe the article written about Rob Ford had some real merit. In today's day and age people who make mistakes and act inappropriately arent held accountable. Their made idols by the press, and followed like a religion by people who follow the media. There comes a point when someone has to say this isnt right. Now minor celebrities like Rob Ford are being put on a pedestal and made a pop icon for making mistakes and saying stupid things. like the article says Rob Ford is practically Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton. made famous only by the fact that his closet was cleaned of his skeletons.

to me, the worst thing on the web would have to be the duck face. i know its an oldie but it still bugs me. my solution to this issue is to create a duck face blocker, which can be downloaded and as soon as a duk face is added to facebook, instagram etc the photo gets blurred.

this is my favorite spoof ad because in most ads for medication the side effects are, in the long run , way more dangerous than what the medication is for.

8. I've stopped buying water from the vending machines and now fill one up at home. so in  a way the understanding that plastic water bottles effect our environment has caused me to think about my purchasing.

9. I feel that in my life, its heavily laid out before me. go to high school so you can get to college, go to college so you can get a job, get a job so you can be successful, be successful and be in that job till you retire. it feels like at this point in my life i don't have a huge say in what happens in my life.

The increased popularity of Angry Birds says simply that today's media culture is bored with the simplicity of everyday life. The media world is looking for something to fill there time while their waiting in line, the hospital, on a train, in a cab or on a plane. they want something to keep their minds busy while going through the motions. its a distraction from the real world, no matter how stupid the game may seem. as for the "Neknominations" I don't agree with them at all. my dad said that my generation is way smarter than his when it comes to drinking and driving. but id have to say i agree on one side, but on the other hand we are way stupider. the fact that at our age we find drinking so boring that we feel the need to be idiots about it.

Facebook and myself. It's Complicated. with the increasing popularity of social sites such as twitter, snapchat, instagram. Facebook has begun to take a back seat in  my life. as well as social media interfering with my facebook use (odd reason i know), texting on my cell phone has made it so i no longer need facebook to keep in contact with my family. the only reason i still use facebook is to keep up to date with celebrities or to see funny memes. I still use facebook but its not my go to.

Because I am just now choosing to respond to these blogs for the sole reason that I am a procrastinator extraordinaire, I will be choosing something from March 25, not February 7. for today in pop culture the best representation would be the Kim Kardashian and Kanye West tabloids. apparently in a short period of time they became big holly wood news. i assume it has stemmed from the popularity of West's Bound 2, and the parody videos that followed. and today it seems everyone is interested in their coming wedding. and there front page photo in Vogue magazine, which has been followed by outrage from many celebrities including Sarah Michelle Geller, who has since cancelled her Vogue subscription
